From July 21st 2023 - November 13th 2023 precious offerings from the discovery at Piprahwa were displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York as part of the Tree & Serpent exhibition. The Piprahwa collection was on display inside a large walk-in version of a stupa, forming the exhibition's centre-piece. Curated by John Guy, the Florence and Herbert Irving Curator of South and Southeast Asian Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Tree & Serpent exhibition sheds light on the transformation of the religious landscape in ancient India through the profound influence of Buddhism.

Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Ambassador of India to the United States; Eric Garcetti, Ambassador of the United States to India; Nita Ambani Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Industries; Phillip Henderson, CEO of The Robert Ho Foundation; Randhir Jaiswal, the Consul General of India; Dr. Hari Krishna, representative of the Cheif Minister of Andhra Pradesh; and Dr. B.R. Mani, Director General of the National Museum, New Delhi joined The Met in celebrating the opening night of this widely acclaimed exhibition.
